Almost any diet that helps you maintain a healthy weight can reduce or even reverse risk factors for cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

I have personally benefitted from avoiding high-carb starches and sugars. As a result, I find I have:

  • Fewer food cravings

  • Higher energy

  • Satiated appetite

  • Better sleep

  • Better mental clarity

  • Fewer mood swings

  • A more consistent body weight

  • Fewer to no hot flashes (for those in the menopause years)
